May 14 – Day 1 Morning arrival at Cusco Airport - transport to Ollantaytambo
We will be waiting for you with open arms at the airport as you arrive in the city of Cusco, known as the navel of the Incan Empire. From Cusco you will be taken in our private tour bus to the village of Ollantaytambo in the heart of the Sacred Valley, where the lower elevation makes it easier to acclimate. Here, we will help you get settled into our beautiful hotel to rest after your travels.
May 15 – Day 2 Naupa Iglesia - and Ollantaytambo Fortress
Our focus on day two is to set clear intentions for our spiritual quest; for both our personal journey, and our experience as a group. Today we travel to a sacred ruin off the beaten track, to the ancient site of Naupa Iglesia, a mysterious doorway carved with great precision into the side of a mountain, known as the "Window into Paradise"; a spirit door similiar to ones found in Egypt and Persia. Called a 'Hauca" in Peru, it is a place of great spiritual significance - where the convergence of powerful electro-magnetic currents of the earth are located. Here, Silvia will lead us in a ceremony of spiritual cleansing to open and clear the way for us to experience a deeply transformational journey.
May 16 – Day 3 Earth Temple of Moray - Pisac Market and Ruins
The ancient Peruvians had a profound relationship and connection to the Pachamama, our Mother Earth, as the Temple Of Moray reveals. Going further into the Sacred Valley, we will travel to visit this place of rich feminine energy, and through ritual ceremony with Silvia and our Paqos, we will plant the "seeds of our becoming " and our intentions in this temple of fertility. Here, we will practice connecting with our own inner body and grounding deeply into the Pachamama. Then an afternoon visit to the village of Pisac to explore and shop.
May 17 – Day 4 Machu Picchu (optional, details below*)
Or Free Day in Ollantaytambo then transfer to Cusco * If you are coming to Peru for the first time, Machu Picchu is a must-see! Words cannot describe it… it is a magical and otherworldly place, called one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is believed that there still exists a thriving city there on the spiritual plane, and one can feel the presence of its multi-dimensional energies. Here, we will be led on a special guided vision-quest after taking a tour of the site. *For those who may have been to Machu Picchu before, this provides a free day to relax and explore the area on your own.
May 18 – Day 5 Cusco... Sacsayhuaman and Q'enqo Temple
Explore the city of Cusco, called the navel of the Incan Empire; rich in history, culture, beautiful old world architecture and plazas. Morning visit to the pre-Incan archeological site of Sacsayhuaman on the edge of Cusco, Here, huge stones seamlessly were fit together in three long walls that represent the Ukhu Pacha (underworld/subconscious), Kay Pacha (middle/material world), and the Hanaq Pacha (upper world/superconscious) Then on to the nearby Temple of Q'enko with it's zig-zag labyrinth passage ways used in ancient rituals. Here will will do a ceremony to clear our past lives. Free afternoon to explore Cusco.
May 19 – Day 6 Travel to southern Peru to Puno at Lake Titicaca (elev.12,500 Ft)
This is a day of relaxing travel in our private bus to the city of Puno at Lake Titicaca, and an opportunity to see the magnificent landscape of Southern Peru and sites along the way. Listen to a lecture as we travel from Silvia as she teaches us about the Chakana, the Incan Cross, and it's profound spiritual significance.
May 20 - Day 7 Puno City and Kutimbo-
Spend a free morning exploring the city of Puno, or schedule a private session with Silvia for a healing or coca leaf reading. Afternoon travel to the mountain of Kutimbo for a Wind Ceremony where we work with our emotions.
May 21 – Day 8 Lake Titicaca – Floating Islands of Urus -
Amantani Island As you will gather from reading below, this is a very important destination on our journey, as we will work with our Aymaru healer and teacher, Silvia Calisaya Chuquimia. here in her homeland on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Much legend and lore surrounds this mystical lake. In Andean mythology Lake Titicaca is the birth place of the Incas, where the gods Mallku Kapac and Mama Ocllo emerged from the lake to start the Incan Empire. Legend also has it that the remains of the Lemurian civilization lie at the bottom of Lake Titicaca, and at the time Lemuria was sinking, one of the seven Great Masters of Lemuria, Lord Aramu Muru, was given the mission to bring the sacred Golden Solar Disc from the Temple of Illumination to Lake Titicaca for safe keeping. During the time of the Incas, the Solar Disc was transferred to Cusco, and placed in the Qorikancha, the main Temple of the Sun, where it stayed until the coming of the Spanish. At that time, it was returned to Lake Titicaca and placed in the Eternal Etheric City deep inside the Lake. The golden disk is reputed to contain great cosmic wisdom, much as a galatic computer, which now in our times is being re-activated. There are many sightings in the area of UFOs and bright lights going in and out of the lake. This special lake contains the crossroads of two of the earth’s greatest ley lines, and it is considered to be the sacral chakra of our planet - holding the embryonic womb space for the earth. The healing waters of Lake Titicaca are considered sacred, and it is a living well of water sourcing deep from within the earth.
May 22 – Day 9 Lake Titicaca – Tequile Island...Puno City
A morning boat ride across Lake Titicaca to the beautiful scenic island of Tequile to visit the natives on this island in their quaint village. We will learn here about the traditions of these people who continue to live in the ways of their ancient culture and still wear their traditional dress. Tequile is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
May 23 – Day 10 Puno... Aramu Muru "Gate of the Gods" -
Much of our sacred quest culminates here at Aramu Muru, called "Ajayu Marka" by the Aymara people. Known as a Stargate, or Gate of the Gods, it is considered a inter-dimensional doorway, or portal, through which the renowned high priest, Lord Aramu Muru, entered and was never seen again after hiding the The Golden Solar Disc from the Spanish in the depths of Lake Titicaca. The natives say that many great spiritual heroes have passed through this doorway into the land of the gods. It is here that we will do first an Earth Ceremony to the Pachamama, and then at the actual gate of Aramu Muru, we will go through the Activation of the Amaru Medicine (or kundalini). It is important for this day to wear a white dress or white clothing, or your native healers garb for this ceremony. Afterwards there will be ceremonial dancing and celebration!
May 24 – Day 11 Lake Titicaca Area – Aymara Elders... This morning we travel to an Aymara community to visit a group of Aymara elders and receive their blessings. Many of these people have never left their villages or traveled to a city. We will participate in an Ayni Fire Ceremony and join them in their native dances. We will learn from these wise ones more about the spiritual teachings of their ancient culture. A special initiation from the elders of this medicine tradition is available here.
May 25 – Day 12 Puno to Chivay
A free morning to relax in Puno before we travel to Chivay, Peru. Chivay is a town in the Colca valley, capital of the Caylloma province in the Arequipa region, Peru. Located at about 3,600 m above sea level (12,000 ft), it lies upstream of the renowned Colca Canyon. It has a central town square and an active market.
May 26 – Day 13 Chivay...Colca Canyon...Arequipa Early morning transport from Chivay to Colca Canyon. Colca Canyon is the canyon of the Colca River in southern Peru, located about 100 miles northwest of Arequipa. With a depth of 10,730 ft, it is deeper than the Grand Canyon. The Colca Valley is a colorful Andean valley with pre-Inca roots, still inhabited by people of the Collagua and the Cabana cultures. We will go to a special viewing spot at the canyon's edge, called Cruz del Condor, near the nests of the great condors to watch the soaring flights of these spectacular birds whose average wingspan is over 10 feet wide! At the canyon we will do our last ceremony to connect to the Three Worlds, Ukhu Pacha (underworld/subconscious), Kay Pacha (middle/material world), and the Hanaq Pacha (upper world/superconscious). In the afternoon we travel by bus to Arequipa, one of the largest cities in Peru. Considered to be one of the most beautiful old cities in the world, Arequipa is called the "White City" because its colonial buildings are built from a white volcanic stone.
May 27 – Day 14 Arequipa to Lima - Travel day home A morning to relax in Arequipa and see this beautiful city before our afternoon flight to Lima.
