A Powerful Feminine Spiritual Teacher and Healer, Silvia Calisaya Chuquimia, comes to North Carolina to share the ancient wisdom of the Aymara people from Lake Titicaca region of Peru…
Silvia Calisaya Chuquimia is a traditional Aymara spiritual healer, teacher, and direct descendant of the pre-Incan people who still inhabit the southern Lake Titicaca region. Silvia was born and raised in a small highland village. She left when she was a young woman to pursue her education and professional life, but later returned to the traditional spiritual teachings of her people. She is an expert in the ancient art of reading coca leaves for divination and healing, and is the proprietor of the Coca Leaf Museum in Puno, Peru. Coca is a sacred plant for the inhabitants of the Andes, which is still held in veneration among the indigenous and mestizo peoples of South America.
“My grandmother was my first university; she was a healer and midwife . . . I started learning many things from her, as well as the coca reading. I began to seek more information about the origin of the coca leaves, and why native people are still using them. In doing this, I found the life philosophy of the Aymaras still living in this part of the world and following their traditional healing practices.”
Silvia comes to share the philosophy, teachings, and spiritual traditions of the Aymara, as well as the history of these ancient people still living in Peru.

She will share her knowledge of the Seven Temples, that are the steps for self-healing, so we can learn and experience this ancient art of healing oneself.
Silvia will also teach you how to build and use a Family Mesa. The Family Mesa is a living altar for all your kin. Lighting Up Your Unique and Sacred Path
Alberto leads us in spiritual practices and rituals that opens the heart; awakening greater self-love and appreciation, and our ability to see with greater clarity - the inner light of our unique sacred path. He will also teach us how to connect to spiritual sources of blessings that renew our life force and balance, and which provides us with needed guidance along the way. The day culminates in a powerful Peruvian despacho ceremony, which is a beautiful mandala-like prayer offering made of sacred ingredients, through which we offer our most heartfelt prayers and intentions. The prayerful despacho is then offered in a ritual fire ceremony.

Like many of the ancient ones that have walked before us on this earth, the indigenous wisdom-keepers of Peru practiced a way of life lived in sacred relationship with all things. They deeply understood that it is through the heart that we are interconnected to all things in the web of life through "munay," universal love, and that we are as One Heart. In these present times the world we live in and our beloved planet so needs its people to live once again in sacred relationship, and to awaken our inherent interconnectedness - with each other, and to all living things. It is through truly opening our perceptions and our hearts to the natural world that we begin to restore and heal our own nature.
This workshop will focus on sacred practices and ritual ceremony that relate to each of the four elements of nature - earth, air, water, fire, and their elemental medicine in helping us achieve balance and transformation in our lives.

Pat has traveled and studied extensively in Peru, where she has been initiated by the native Q'ero paqos and shamans, and has journeyed with them to the ancient sacred sites throughout Peru participating in healing ceremonies and rituals, including the feminine Nusta Karpay goddess rites.
Using ancient shamanic techniques, Pat has a private practice in North Carolina USA, where she works with her clients to energetically clear the self-limiting patterns of old trauma and core wounds, to bring about healing, balance, and help in restoring their ability to step into their fullest potential. Pat also mentors, teaches workshops, including the Munay-Ki rites and the Feminine Nusta Karpay rites.
